Illustration Friday: Sorry

I'm sorry for not updating this blog much lately, and I'm sorry for missing a few weeks worth of Illustration Fridays. I've been busy as I explained in my previous post. I've missed participating. I already feel rusty. This took forever to finish. I attempted last week's topic, but it refused to become finished art. You can't force the design process, (bad things happen if you do), so I let it go. Hopefully, I can get back into the weekly IF habit.

Yes, I know how it feels. Anyway, that's a very nice illustration, besides the colours, I like the shoes very much. Hope to see more of your illos.

I certainly hope you do get back into IF again - I always enjoy your work! I know what you mean about forcing a drawing or a painting. It becomes an exercise in frustration, especially when after so timne much spent, you end up with something that just doesn't work. Anyway, this is a wonderful illustration. The colors anre warm and soothing, and it cpatures a moment of peace. There's nothing quite like hugging a favorite cat on your lap!

Angela, I just love it! This is so sweet I can almost hear the kitten purring! I love the warm colors and the penny loafers ~actually I like her whole outfit!

Hey, I love this girl's cowl neck, how her mouth disappears cozily into it--kind of like how the cat is nuzzling into her chest. They make an adorable pair.

Thank you everyone for the support and the sweet comments.
Also, thanks for the compliments on the shoes which were modeled after my very own.I love how boxy loafers are like the 'sedans' of shoes.

Very nice illustration. I like the soft, earthy colors that you chose. Thanks for the Trowbridge comment. I hope to bring Mrs. T back as soon and as often as possible.
