Illustration Friday: Wedding

Her wedding day is a bride's happiest moment....or sometimes not.

I'll let you come up with the story for this one.

This week I was determined to attempt traditional painting again. My dependence on the computer has turned the paint brush into a foreign tool to me. I had fun working with my limited supply of acrylics (which is supplemented with clearance folk art craft paints), but I'm going to need so much more practice to better know what I'm doing.
The scan made some of the colors funny.

This is really nice! I like your composition, the movement of the piece, her fun curly hair, and the wistful and/or longing and/or worried look on her face. I like the ambiguity!!

And now I'm going to go visit some of the fine links you've provided. Thanks for the inspiration!

Great drawing. I like that you portrayed it from a different perspective than others, a really pleasant suprise.

Wonderful piece. Great composition. And I like illustrations that invite the viewer to fill in the story, and this certainly does that.
