Illustration Friday: Red

Red carries with it many meanings. Red is drama, risk, determination, and passion, but unfortunately, too much red can backfire.

Illustration Friday: Super Hero

When we last saw our super hero he was flying the friendly skies, but now he's found himself in a bit of a pickle. Will our hero escape? Well, of course, he'd never miss dinner.

When I was home for the holidays my furry friend Andy kept me entertained with his coffee table climbing antics. He loves to reach up, and pull himself along. After he moves down one side I'm most impressed at how he rounds the corner to continue all the way around. There's much meowing and carrying on as well as he makes sure we're all watching because he loves an audience. I believe he thinks he's in his own little adventure movie, crossing a great ravine. Every time I see him do this the Indiana Jones theme music plays in my head. If Harrison Ford decides not to do a 4th movie Andy said he could find time in his schedule for the right amount of catnip.

Illustration Friday: 80's

I remember watching Pac-man every saturday morning. I just read some sites that said it was the worst cartoon ever, but I was a kid, and it was just fine by me. Mr. and Mrs. Pacman were the portrait of the typical American family. I often heard it said during the 80's that much of the world thought our streets were paved with gold. Well, the Pac family didn't have gold, but power pellets grew on trees, and that was just as good, or better. If anyone got in their way they just ate 'um. I have to wonder if this mentality has contributed to the obesity problem in America today.

My apologies to Grant Wood.
