Rain or shine whenever he went out Eddie always put on his big red galoshes to cover his webbed feet, but his large bill always gave him away. Yes, Eddie was a duck, a curiously tall duck, but a duck nonetheless.
Dedicated to anyone who's ever felt like an odd duck.
Since my first illustration didn't technically show bare feet I did this quick sketch of Eddie just relaxing at home in front of the tv.

Wonderful!
Haha! Love it. Lovely concept, great style. :)
This is so wonderful and i love what you have done here and your wonderful imagination! Years ago I lived with a very well known artist that only painted ducks in humourous situations, he was and is hugely popular, check him out at www.michaelbedard.com I always love your work!!!
This is delightfully creative. I love the character of Eddie the duck...I think he needs a whole book about his life and adventures. Wonderful technique:>
'Ey up m'duck!
Haha! That's great Angela! Eddie is one cool duck. I like the lil guy in the bubble jacket too. His expression is perfect. Yes, Eddie needs his own book series. Nice technique and execution as well. Maybe if I stare at my screen hard enough it'll rub off on me.
I wish I was Eddie currently--just chillin' there at home. Nice work.
I like the duck character. I can see him in kids' books.
Have you written a book? You should, the illustrations are wonderful.
Thanks for all the encouragement! It means a lot.
Eddie doesn't have a written story yet. He was just created over the weekend. I'll have to work on developing him further.
beautiful!
Very cute. I love the expression on the people's faces, especially the boy's. I have very definitely felt like an odd duck like this before. Ha! Ha! Nice work.
I love Eddie and his galoshes! I really hope you do a book of him - he needs his own book! Great illustrations I really love your style!
